                               RESOLUTION NO. 19076
                   
                   
                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO 
                   EXECUTE A LEASE AND EASEMENT TO THE 
                   CHATTANOOGA-HAMILTON COUNTY HOSPITAL 
                   AUTHORITY FOR CERTAIN PROPERTY OWNED BY 
                   HAMILTON COUNTY AND THE CITY OF CHATTANOOGA.
                   
                   
                                                     
                   
                   
       	    	 WHEREAS, Hamilton County and the City of Chattanooga 
       jointly own certain property located on Central Avenue which is 
       identified as State Tax Map Nos. 146A-N-012 and 146A-M-006 & 007; 
       and
       	    	 WHEREAS, said property is adjacent to property owned by 
       the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Hospital Authority located at the 
       corner of Third Street and Central Avenue; and
       	    	 WHEREAS, the Hospital Authority plans to construct a 
       parking lot for Erlanger Medical Center on property currently 
       owned by the Authority and has requested that the property 
       identified as State Tax Map No. 146A-N-012 owned by the City and 
       County be leased to the Authority for the purpose of constructing 
       a parking lot and that an easement be granted for the purpose of 
       constructing and maintaining a grassed slope adjacent to the 
       parking lot across property identified as State Tax Map No. 
       146A-M-006 & 007 owned by the City and County; and
       	    	 WHEREAS, said City- and County-owned property is vacant 
       and overgrown and there is no immediate use for the property by 
       the City and County.
       	    	 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF 
       THE CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That the Mayor be and is 
       hereby authorized to execute a Lease and Easement to the 
       Chattanooga-Hamilton County Hospital Authority relative to 
       property owned by Hamilton County and the City of Chattanooga 
       identified as State Tax Map Nos. 146A-N-012 and 146A-M-006 & 007, 
       as shown on the attached drawing.
